Prof. Rodrigo Negreiros
Full Professor of Astrophysics and Computational Sciences
Rodrigo Negreiros, Ph.D., is Full Professor of Astrophysics and Computational Sciences at the Catholic Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from San Diego State University, with a dissertation on computational neutron star studies, and previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies. His research focuses on neutron star physics and high-energy astrophysics, with over 80 peer-reviewed articles exploring compact objects, dense matter, and the rotational properties of hybrid stars.

Prof. Luis Lamb
Vice President for Research, Catholic Institute of Technology
Luis Lamb is Vice President for Research and Professor of Computer Science at the Catholic Institute of Technology. He is also a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil and a Visiting Scholar at Rice University. A pioneer of Neurosymbolic AI research, he holds a PhD from Imperial College London and an MBA from MIT Sloan. He previously served as Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology for the State of Rio Grande do Sul and as Dean of Informatics at UFRGS.
