Prof. James Wessel
Professor of Software Engineering
With over 16 years at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, Prof. Wessel brings deep industry and research experience to the classroom. He has published and presented on a wide range of software engineering topics at international conferences. At Franciscan University he leads instruction in software engineering, mentoring students in rigorous, practice-oriented development methods grounded in real-world expertise.

Prof. Bryce Meyer
Lecturer of Software Engineering
A former USAF officer with experience in program management and engineering, Prof. Meyer has served as an assistant professor at Virginia Military Institute and as a senior engineer at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, and Biology. An Associate Fellow of AIAA and Senior Member of IEEE, he has published in cybersecurity and software engineering and has taught at Franciscan since 2016.
